However, NetElixir’s team of fanatically analytical individuals are driven by innovation and a passion for helping retailers win more customers online. In this special edition of our Employee Spotlight series, we’re introducing you to Manish, our Director of Paid Media!
Manish has been with NetElixir for close to six years. Fun fact – he loves movies. He says that when he likes a particular movie, he watches it repeatedly – up to 15 times – and he always feels as excited to view it as he did the first time!
WHAT KEEPS YOU INTERESTED IN SEARCH MARKETING?
“With the advent of artificial intelligence and machine learning, there is this big shift towards understanding a customer’s context through hundreds of signals that are available online,” he said. “Six years back, it was all about keywords, campaigns, maybe ads. But fast forward to 2018, it’s all about the moment that the customer is in and using all of these signals to understand how qualified each customer really is.”

A: There are several things that I like about working at NetElixir, but I’ll share some of the top ones. The way NetElixir empowers me to solve problems and make an impact is really amazing.
At times it is not even my core area of expertise but NetElixir tends to trust my intent in solving some of these core problems and that really matters a lot. It’s also a group of really passionate people that I work with. They are from various industries and varying levels of professional experience. You constantly have to raise the bar to keep interacting with them and solve problems as a group.
A: The ability to respect. Respecting what you do by doing it right and respecting people who work with you, including your clients and your colleagues, by prioritizing their best interests. I believe success is a natural outcome.
A: Rules and discipline. If there’s one thing that I could wish for it would be for everyone to follow established protocols and rules so that there is a lot more order around us.
A: My favorite movie is called The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. It captures the endless possibility of what human perseverance can do. It’s a story of a guy who is paralyzed completely and still ends up writing his own story with the ability to blink just one eye.
A: As the Director of Paid Media, I have the opportunity to work with multiple teams that service roughly over 130 clients across various verticals like apparel, home and decor, online gifting, and food and gourmet and across multiple channels like search, social media, and marketplaces.
This allows me to share best practices and new product features from our partners at Google, Bing, Amazon, and Facebook and take feedback from our teams to these partners. This really helps me the most when I work with new business development teams, where I get an opportunity to look at multiple businesses and come up with a solution spanning multiple channels that resonates with the prospect.
