The Situation
Blinds.com is the #1 blinds retailer in America and, as
an online-only retailer, relies heavily on PPC. Before
coming to NetElixir, Blinds.com had been advertising on
Yahoo! Search Marketing for three years and on Google
Adwords since its inception. Their marketing department
was managing the PPC campaigns using the A POPULAR tool.
In addition to wanting better PPC results, Blinds.com
was looking for a solution that would free their marketing
team by outsourcing what they considered to be a critical
function but outside their core expertise. The

Blinds.com had a specific objective of lowering their
PPC advertising’s cost per sale (CPS) by 20% compared
to what they were achieving in-house with Atlas OnePoint.
In addition, they were looking for a trusted partner who

After a thorough analysis of the existing campaign, NetElixir
designed a multi-point strategy to better align Blinds.com’s
campaigns with their business goals. This

and selection, along with target-setting for each;
• Creative development and testing, including ad
copy and landing pages; • 24x7 bid management;
and • Frequent, on-going performance analysis
and tweaking of each of these parameters. The
Results
NetElixir’s strategy and execution delivered results
that exceeded Blinds.com’s expectations. Despite
increasingly expensive costs per click due to the competitive
retail market, NetElixir brought costs per sale down by
27% over the first year on both Yahoo and Google, due
to a strong boost in conversion rates. In addition, sales
numbers increased by 33%.
By focusing on lower costs per sale, NetElixir had a significant
impact on Blinds.com’s profit margins—and
provided their marketing team with both the time and the
money to pursue other valuable marketing activities.
